Great! You chose to go with DreamHost to host your website, but, how do you install WordPress on it?

In this step-by-step tutorial, I will show you exactly how to install WordPress on a DreamHost web hosting plan.

The first step is to sign in to your DreamHost account here.

3. Setup your WordPress installation

Next, you have to setup your new WordPress installation with the following settings:

  • Install to: Select the domain on which your website will be installed. On the second textbox, you can select a subdirectory to install the website in. For example, if you want your website to be accessible at findwebsitedesign.com, you would only select “findwebsitedesign.com” and leave the textbox empty. On the other hand, if you want to access your website at findwebsitedesign.com/blog for example, you would have the select “findwebsitedesign.com” and type “blog” in the textbox.
  • Select Database: This will be the database used by your website. If you don’t know what this is, you should select “Automatically Create Database” which will create a new database for your website.
  • Deluxe Install: This option will install Akismet, Hello Dolly, Jetpack, WP Super Cache, and WPForms Lite automatically to your website. In my opinion, you should never select this option because it’s the easiest way to have a lot of plugins on your website that you’re not using. But, if you plan on installing the plugins anyway, it might save you some time.
  • Install WP Website Builder: This will install DreamHost’s WP Website Builder tool on your website. If you don’t want to use it or don’t know what it is, I would recommend unchecking this box too. If you’re looking for a good website builder, Elementor or Divi might be better options.

4. Click the “Install it for me now!” button

Once you select all the settings, you can click on the “Install it for me now!” button. WordPress will be installed automatically and you should receive an email within 15 minutes with further steps to take to complete the installation.

  1. In this great scheme of things you’ll get a B- with regard to hard work. Where exactly you actually lost me ended up being in the facts. As they say, the devil is in the details… And that could not be much more accurate here. Having said that, let me say to you what exactly did deliver the results. The writing is actually really powerful and this is probably why I am making an effort in order to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, despite the fact that I can certainly see the jumps in logic you make, I am not confident of just how you seem to connect the ideas which inturn help to make the actual final result. For the moment I will yield to your point but trust in the future you actually link your facts much better. I pay 3 bucks for hosting and it’s great. Here it is: https://bit.ly/3DollarHost

  2. Hiya, I am really glad I have found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossip and internet stuff and this is actually frustrating. A good site with exciting content, that is what I need. Thank you for making this site, and I will be visiting again. Do you do newsletters by email? Dedra Cory Grinnell

  3. Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more.
